![]() ![]() Except you log in and there's no desktop. So fine, I go to install xrdp to try my hand at using Microsoft RDP client on Mac. And it constantly complains about the connection not being encrypted. Sometimes the screen won't update until you mouse over that area of the screen, things like that. Now it connects but, lots of problems with drawing elements on the screen. So fine, you go google how to disable encryption. I've grown frustrated because out of the box with installed Ubuntu 18.04 or 18.10 and screen sharing enabled, using the official VNC Viewer from Mac results in an encryption error. Everything is on the same 元 network so there is no router or firewall in play for this case. Note this is not a VM but an actual server I'm running this on. I need to access my Ubuntu box via VNC or RDP as the main mode of access. ![]() I like Ubuntu but there is something sticking in my craw. I dabble in various Linux desktops for various testing purposes. ![]()
